Tyco Cleared of Liability in $42M
Eli Lilly Drug Heist
A Boca Raton-based security company defeated a $42 million lawsuit in an insurance company’s
attempt to recover from a prescription drug heist.
Tyco Integrated Security LLC was not liable for the theft of thousands of boxes of medicine from
an Eli Lilly and Co. warehouse, a Miami federal jury found Monday.
The pharmaceutical company’s insurer, National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh,
claimed Tyco failed to protect confidential information about security weaknesses at the Enfield,
Connecticut, warehouse.
